U.S. Newswire: The sports medicine experts at ArmorSports believe there’s plenty of truth to the old adage, “The best defense is a good offense.” Their product, AirArmor is the first on the market designed for players to wear before they are injured to prevent damage to the knee and leg.
The FDA has classified AirArmor as a Class 1 medical device. A study published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine found that NCAA players who wore AirArmor saw a 95 percent decrease in the amount of knee and leg injuries occurring on the field.
AirArmor weighs only 22 ounces and is supported from the waist ensuring it is the least restrictive to the players’ movement and agility while remaining securely in place with no migration. AirArmor was designed by an orthopedist with the most common knee injuries in mind: damage to the MCL and ACL.
