Tel Aviv-based startup Samba wants to expand the video messaging category to straddle the space between MMS and video chatting. The app, which launched last month, lets users record a video to send to a friend, and then records that friend’s reaction to the video, which is then shared back with the sender. Reactions are synced to the original video, with the recipient’s mug appearing in a small, movable circle that’s layered on top of the sender’s missive. Sophisticated privacy controls even allow senders to delete videos both from their own phones and recipients’.
