From the wide array of X-Rays, CT and MRI scans to dental exams, etc…Medical visits can be very frightening to pediatric patients. MRI Ingenuity realized the need to help pediatric patients through their medical procedures. We were inspired to create Courage Gowns. They are designed to boost morale and instill courage in pediatric patients.
It begins with a statement “We are Courage” but what does it mean? As health care professionals we have witnessed the fear and anxiety that medical procedures can cause. As a parent talking to your child about a procedure that involves needles can be disheartening, the look on your child is heartbreaking. As an individual we can make a difference. Patients and their families should have all means necessary to complete these procedures with minimal effects. This is the Courage movement, we can improve the system one health care setting at a time.
