Dancing With Invisible Light

TrendHunter: Artistically inclined gamers are definitely going to want to check out photographer Audrey Penven’s latest project, Dancing With Invisible Light. In this series, Penven had models play the Kinect game Dance Central in the dark to capture the infrared light that the Kinect had bathed their bodies in.

Microsoft Kinect is a peripheral for the Xbox 360 that lets you play motion-controlled games. The Kinect works by projecting a pattern of infrared dots onto a person’s body and then analyzing what happens when the player moves and alters the pattern. Penven shot Dancing With Invisible Light in near darkness, using her camera’s shutter flash as her only light.
