Fern-tastic Dirt Table

Re-nest: When we first looked at this project from Ori Mishkal (a student of the Belzalel Design Academy in Jerusalem), we thought it looked completely unusable, because in our mind, this would of course be a dining room table and there would be nowhere to put your legs. It wasn’t until later that we realized that this idea doesn’t have to be executed on a large scale, but is rather suited for smaller side tables.

This dirt table is great for these shade loving ferns and keeps them supported and quite happy. With a slight modification to the top (say, a spacer on each corner and an actual table top attached) this could be the best of both worlds: lamps, photos, accessories and plants.
