Evovelo, inspired by racing technology “eco-marathon” and “solar race”, has designed the first fully enclosed solar vehicle. It is able to operate as a vehicle for transporting people and freight, all with minimal environmental impact thanks to its hybrid propulsion system (solar/electric/human) and the materials and processes used to manufacture its first model: mö, the first urban solar vehicle.
One of the first things that engage of this innovative vehicle is that it is equipped with a self-supporting fully enclosed structure, which protects us from weather conditions such as rain and cold, and increases the safety of the passengers. It also has two seats situated laterally, more comfortable and social than the front/back position. Its large space to transport cargo and/or one or two child seats is something else to highlight.
mö gets its motion from an electric motor whose power can be adapted according to the needs and different legislations. Thus we can choose a setting of 250W that allow us driving on European roads, 800W for USA and up to 1.500W, enabling it to reach speeds higher than 50Km/h (30mi/h).
This is our future car. Though it need some modification in wheels. But for startup we must say that it is nice car for the people of lower class. The most important advantage is it will protect the passenger from rain and dust.
