Montreal-born, London-based designer Philippe Malouin recently debuted a series of lamps entitled Daylight. The collection has a similar feel to louvered shutters, which makes sense since they were inspired by plantation shutters. Each slat hides a strip of LEDs that mimic daylight (hence the name), as if the sun is peaking through the shutters. The light also bounces off the wall, making it look even more like a window.
